The museum is layed out as a series of interconnecting spaces on one level. The courtyard of the museum is the center of activity, while the administrative spaces are further off to the southeast to provide a peaceful working environment. All office rooms have views to the lake and garden.

The auditorium is close to the restaurant and the old, separate restaurant building, which will be used as a cabinet. The auditorium can be extended to the courtyard in summer.

The entrance takes place centrally, in relation to the auditorium, restaurant and the exhibition spaces.

The largest exhibition space is also the highest with a free height on nine meters. The exhibition spaces can be closed off as desired for changing of the display.
